Connect with natives

DAY 4: HOW TO CONNECT WITH NATIVE SPEAKERS ONLINE

In this video you’ll learn:

  • Where to find native speakers who are more than happy to read your writing, correct your translations within minutes, and answer your language questions – all for free
  • Where to find an “exchange partner” to have your first one-on-one conversation
  • How to connect with professional language teachers online and how to select the right teacher for you

To complete today’s mini-mission, visit fi3m.com/italki and connect with speakers of your target language.

Another great trick is to submit your text to the website Rhinospike to have your writing read by a native speaker and then sent to you so you can hear the audio! (If you help out by making a recording for someone else in your native language, your request will be answered faster )

ONE LAST THING…

Don’t forget to send a request to a teacher or exchange partner to schedule your first conversation this week! In your message, don’t be afraid to tell them you’re a beginner and only want to practice a basic introductory conversation, if that’s what you want to do. They’ll be better able to help you if they know exactly what kind of help you need.

Another option is to connect with another learner from the Day 1 or Day 3 video uploads and ask them to do a free exchange with you over Skype.

After you’ve completed today’s challenge, send my team an email at encourager@fluentin3months.com
and tell us how you did! We read every response.
